Sunburns, the smell of a smoking barbecue and evening sound of mosquito's can ruin your perfect summer evenings real quick. I'm not getting sidelined this year with that first burning of winter-pale skin, I'm armed and ready with sunscreen for my shirtless escapades! Part of the fun is in the evening when the sun has set but you're left with the aftermath of what you did right/wrong in those first summery rays. A proper cleanse is called for with your most gentle one, for me that's still the Nude Skincare Cleansing Jelly to remove all traces of sunscreen and daily grime. Once that's done I give myself a proper pampering with the Erno Laszlo White Marble Sheet Mask, describing itself as ten minutes to radiance. The natural brightening agents of soybean, vitamin C and yuzu fruit help to clarify dull complexions and negate any sundamage accumulated during the day. It's very refreshing and adheres well to the skin, but I still spray a small amount of Uriage thermal water before using the sheet mask.

Once I finished with the sheet mask I massage in any excess product and follow up with the revamped Caudalie Vinosource range. There's four different textures depending on your skin, but the deeply nourishing Caudalie Vinosource Intense Moisture Rescue Cream is a brilliant night treatment for parched skin. The sorbet is equally great with a frothy texture but is more suitable for daytime for me. That's checkmate for any sundamage and dryness, fixed overnight with the summery grape scents. The brooding heat these days calls for refreshing scents, including the revival of my Jean Paul Gaulthier Le Male.. one that gets a limited edition make-over this summer.
